-Is my child talented?

- To answer the question it is nessesary to know what does word "talent" mean. It's a set of potential abilities such as walking, speaking, counting, reading, swimming, etc. nessesary to develop. If our children learn these things, there's no doubt they could also play violin if they spent so much time for practicing as for another skills. The only thing what parents ought to do is creating their child conditions for proper development. The same which are created when we teach our child speaking- parent's approval, encouragement to next attempts and surround by music. Music and love.


-Would my child like to play violin?

-Yes, but on condition that You- parent would also like and with a smile on your mouth you would learn play violin. And after when you already couldn't play this what your child could, you will be helpful for him and motivate to work and be happy for all successes.


-Could I play violin?


-Yes, of course. At least first few songs. It doesn't hurt, really. Parents who learned elementary of play are now in good health. Even these, who at the beginning were frightened of their lack of skills, ear and time. When you own touch violin you experience the same thing as your child, moreover you are the best motivation for your child to play. So if you want to help your child, find some time and enthusiasm, to get to know the base of music language. The language which connects people.


-What is the record use for?

-Your child needs some example to repeat. True is that every record he heard is helpful in future playing. The same is with hearing a new word. The record is some kind of ally in shaping a music taste. We use it as often as it is possible. There are lots of opportunities: in the morning before go out, in the afternoon during a play, driving a car, falling asleep.. all these activities should accompany subtle sound of music.


-How much time does it take my child to play?


-- It depends on how old he is. Playing the first nice sound it's a result of long preparations, the same like to say the first word. Important thing is that two-years-old child learns different to five-years-old one. The point is how much time you are going to spent everyday on practicing at home. Example: if teacher tells that master the new song will take 5 hours of right repetitions, so it is easy to notice that it takes about 3 weeks child who play 15 minutes a day, but pupil who spent on playing an hour a day will be ready in few days. Parents have to know that every next step of their children is depended on them. But of course there is always a possibility that child get learnt the song in 3 hours or couldn't learn it after 20 hours!!! This is not depended on you then. True is, that Suzuki teacher is not only disposed to teach future musicians, but he also works on intellectual and emotional development of child. The chance for young violinists is time and attention of their parents. You must remember you are a teacher at home. It's a responsibility.The time you spent together is exceptinal, do not waste it.
